A limited edition is a fixed number of identical prints produced in association with the artist. When the edition is sold out it is closed, and no more prints are produced.
Open editions have no fixed production number. This doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be available forever but they have no restricted amount.
We use the latest print technology to create archival pigment prints. These prints are valued for their wide color gamut and stability, lasting up to 200 years under ideal conditions. We use advanced color management tools and processes to ensure consistency. Depending on the aesthetic of the art work, Visionary Art Project may also print on Canvas and other materials for visual enhancement. Every print is approved by Visionary Art Project before and after production.
All of our prints arrive with a certificate of authenticity that is hand-signed by the all 3 founding members of Visionary Art Project, Mia Morgan, Georgina Billington and Lindsay Adler. The certificate is numbered and describes the work.
Visionary Art Project’s entire production is made in the U.S. All of our printing and framing is done in NYC.
Prints are extremely fragile, so it is best to have your work framed right away. When selecting a frame, look for archival methods and UV protected plexi or glass. This offers the best longevity for your print. When hanging, avoid placing your print in direct sunlight.
All of our frames are custom made to order. We use high-quality wood frames along with archival materials. Our 4-ply mats and backing boards are acid-free, offering the longest life for your print. We use conservation quality acrylic, which is the standard for galleries and museums, since it is lightweight, protects against harmful UV rays, and allows the print to show through beautifully! Our prints are framed by professionals with a high degree of attention to detail
